Yes, the carabiners actually work just like the ones you are used to while technical rock climbing. The bolt hangers are cast in solid sterling silver and the .030 x 7/16 inch posts are fused and silver soldered to the hanger backs.

The ear nut is a rubber lined sterling silver stamping for a secure fit. The frames for the carabiners are hand formed and struck.

The sterling silver bolt is cast, and we machine the nut from sterling silver seamless tubing. Except for the ear post and rubber lined nut, we, make every part of this bolt hanger carabiner earring pair.
